High School Baseball Prep Camp

Coach Rosene and Coach Pohl will run your son through an intense and rigorous 90 minute baseball practice sessions similar in style and structure to a normal high school varsity baseball practice. During each session we will introduce various team-building exercises and concepts, in addition to the necessary baseline physical skills all aspiring high school players need to grasp by their freshman year: defense, pitching, and hitting.

Pitching
Learning proper pitching mechanics will increase velocity and accuracy while reducing the risk of injury. We will introduce the key fundamentals to the full wind-up, giving each participant the confidence that they can pitch effectively and safely during league play.

Hitting
We'll teach proper hitting techniques and fundamentals, including stance, stride, balance, extension. We will also explain plate discipline and selection and demonstrate proper bunting techniques.

Defense
Throwing the baseball correctly is the foundation of playing good defense. Proper throwing mechanics increases a player's velocity and accuracy and prevents injuries to the elbow and shoulder. Throwing will be a major emphasis for each clinic, as well as infield technique, outfield positioning, and proper footwork.
